With ServiceNow’s automation features using something called Flow Designer, you can set up small rules that do these jobs for you. Think of it like telling ServiceNow:

1. Send a Reminder Automatically

Steps:

1. Go to Flow Designer in ServiceNow.
2. Create a new flow and give it a name.
3. Choose the trigger when it should run. Here, pick When an Incident is updated.
4. Add a condition “If the Incident is waiting for the customer.”
5. Add a wait time 24 hours.
6. After 24 hours, check again if it’s still waiting, send an email reminder to the customer.
7. Save and activate the flow.

That’s it! Now ServiceNow will do the reminding for you.

2. Auto-Assign Tickets

Steps:

1. In Flow Designer, create a new flow called Auto Assign Tickets.”

2. Trigger: When a new Incident is created.

3. Add simple rules like:

   • “Password Reset”  Assign to Service Desk team.

   • “Network”  Assign to Network team.

   • “Hardware”  Assign to Desktop Support.

4. Save and activate.

Now, tickets will find their home without you lifting a finger.

3. Daily Report Email

Steps:

1. In Flow Designer, create a flow called Daily Old Tickets Report.
2. Trigger: Schedule Every day at 9:00 AM.
3. Add an action to look up incidents that are still open and older than 7 days.
4. If the list is not empty, send an email with the ticket numbers and details.
5. Save and activate.

Now your lead will automatically get a daily update, without anyone having to run reports.
